Vincent Riverside was born and raised in California.
Compelled by the arts as a child after seeing
KISS perform the night Elvis Presley died, he
began his pursuit of being a professional artist
when he left home at the age of 17. Growing
tired of waiting around for community theatre
productions, he decided to try his hand at Rock
& Roll as a more expedient art form. Thus
began a 13-year, four-album career in music
culminating as frontman for the acclaimed band,
Gasoline.
In 1997, Vincent decided to return to his first
love…acting. He has since appeared in
major motion pictures, television and stage.
He has supporting roles in the 2000 Sundance
Film Festival smash-hit, Groove, which was released
internationally by Sony Pictures Classis, Sony
Pictures The Masters of Disguise alongside Dana
Carvey, Hold On with Melissa Joan Hart and Danny
Masterson, Lions Gate Film’s Fast Sofa,
HBO’s Reciproque, Spike Lee’s Academy
Award commercial campaign and most recently
alongside Billy Baldwin in the soon to be released
film, Park. Vincent also co-starred in the Hallmark
Movie of the Week, Jane Doe, with Lea Thompson
and in a cameo as Elvis alongside Florence Henderson
in the TV movie For Heaven’s Sake. Television
has seen him in numerous music videos as well
as guest starring roles on shows such as NYPD
Blue and Fastlane.
Vincent Riverside is the founder and company
director of the Street School Artist Collective
and Tramp Art Theatre Club. Founded in 1999
with chapters in both San Francisco and Los
Angeles, the SSAC/TATC operates in the mediums
of both stage and film. With the SSAC/TATC Vincent
has written, directed and performed in original
works up and down the west Coast.
