Mary Kegley was born and raised in the swashbuckling town of Mankato, Minnesota where she developed a love for theater, film, and acts of Pirate related mayhem. After a failed attempt at a "Straight School" studying psychology and a life of theater acting, she packed her bags and moved to San Francisco to attend the Academy of Art College focusing on film directing and lighting. After making her first film, “Cruel Sun”, a critically acclaimed tale of underground dwellers and human sacrifice, it became apparent that her talents lay more in front of the camera. After working on many films as a Special Effects Makeup Artist, she finally landed her first lead role in a film called “Punjabi 5.0”. The rest of her life has been and will be dedicated to acting. In 2005 she won the Best Actress Academy (of Art) Award for the film, “Girlfriends”. Mary continues to act and is actively pursuing life as a pirate.
